Q: I am a woman seeking a ruling regarding the death of my son, who died approximately 30 years ago. The story is that this child kept me awake all night, and at the end of the night, when he fell asleep, I placed him beside me, slightly away from me, then I slept. When I woke up at dawn, I found that he had died, and this was due to a goat that had jumped on him with its hindquarters, as we were in the desert . This was the cause of his death, and I am seeking a ruling on what religious rights are due to this child?
A: If the matter is as you described, then you owe nothing regarding the death of the aforementioned child, since you did not neglect his rights; for he was sleeping beside you
and something unexpected occurred that was beyond calculation, and the original state is the innocence of the conscience. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
