Fatwa number ( 150 )
Q: He divorced his wife twice, then her guardian claimed to the judge that he had divorced her three times. He denied that he had divorced her three times, stating that he had only divorced her twice. Then he became angry and divorced her the third time. He asks whether he can take her back?
A: Since he mentioned that he divorced his wife twice and then divorced her the third time, his wife has become divorced from him with the major final divorce, so she is not lawful for him until she marries another husband, a marriage of desire, not a marriage of dissolution. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
