Changing Lineage to Facilitate Entry into a Foreign Country

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The eleventh question of Fatwa No. ( 2292 )
Q 11: The British government strictly forbids the entry of foreigners into Britain except for those who have a young son or daughter, and they are permitted to enter. Some foreign Muslims have resorted to attributing other people’s children to themselves, or a brother claiming his brother is his father, or an uncle claiming his nephew is his son, and so on, changing lineages to make it easier for them to enter Britain . What is the ruling on this ruse?
A 11: If the situation is as described, it is not permissible for a Muslim to claim that so-and-so is his son or daughter when that is not the case, nor does this make the person his child. Rather, that is lying and forgery. Allah has commanded us to call children by their fathers’ names. He, the Exalted, said:
Call them by [the names of] their fathers; it is more just in the sight of Allah. But if you do not know their fathers - then they are [still] your brothers in religion and those entrusted to you. And there is no blame upon you for that in which you have erred but [only for] what your hearts intended. And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful.
[Al-Ahzab 33:5]

And he has no right to say that by way of figurative interpretation to have an excuse for lying, for there is no need that would lead him to use euphemisms. Indeed, the earth of Allah is vast. It is obligatory for one who is in the lands of the disbelievers to leave them, and for one who is outside them not to enter them except for dire necessity or an Islamic benefit, such as calling to Allah, in order to preserve his religion and avoid trials.
And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out (3) And will provide for him from where he does not expect.
[At-Talaq 65:2-3]
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
