A1: If a woman divorces her husband, the divorce does not take effect, and she owes no expiation, but she should seek forgiveness from Allah and repent to Him; because issuing the divorce from her to her husband is contrary to the Shari'ah evidence, which indicates that the divorce is in the hand of the husband or one who stands in his place according to the Shari'ah. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
