Fatwa number ( 14226 )
Q: What should a man do if Friday and Monday are considered two sacred days? How must a Muslim treat his wife, and is he required to refrain from touching her on certain days of the week?
A: First: Friday is a day of festival for Muslims. It is recommended for a man to take a full ritual bath, purify himself, apply some of the perfume from his house, wear two clean garments, and arrive early for the Friday prayer. It is established that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Second: Monday is among the best days of the week; on it, the deeds of the believer are raised to Allah the Exalted, and fasting on it is recommended. Third: It is obligatory for a man to protect his wife’s chastity to the extent of his ability. There is no day in the week on which a man must abstain from his wife, provided she is not menstruating, experiencing post-natal bleeding, or observing an obligatory fast. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

Second: Monday is among the best days of the week; on it, the deeds of the believer are raised to Allah the Exalted, and fasting on it is recommended.
