Preventing Pregnancy for the Sake of Breastfeeding

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 3399 )
Q: Is it permissible for a woman, after giving birth, to take contraceptive pills for two years until the child is weaned, and then stop taking the pills to become pregnant again?
A: If the situation is as you described, and if consecutive pregnancies harm her, and taking the pills or similar substances does not harm her nor destroy her capacity for pregnancy after the two years, then it is permissible for her to take them; otherwise, it is prohibited.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
