A: It is not permissible to abort the pregnancy, and the probability of the fetus contracting the AIDS virus does not justify aborting it. The Committee advises the woman and her husband to have good opinion of Allah and to ask Him for well-being for the woman and her pregnancy from all evil. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
