Recording what the husband provides in the list

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first and third questions of Fatwa No. ( 8875 )
Q1: What is the Islamic ruling on what is called the “list,” which in our case is: that it is written in the marriage contract, and it consists of the movable property that the groom brought, or that the groom did not bring, and it is said that it is from the matters of undetermined public interest for the ruin of debts, by analogy to the marriage contract?
A1: If the matter is as mentioned, there is no harm in mentioning it in the marriage contract, and both spouses signing it, so that if a dispute arises that necessitates khul' (divorce at the wife's request for compensation), what the husband paid is clear without ambiguity. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
