The questioner : I am a twenty-five-year-old girl living with my brother after my father and mother got married, and I was ten years old at the time, and when my mother passed away, I was seventeen years old. I dropped out of school because the circumstances did not allow me to continue. I have a father who owns a large fortune of money, and when I am angry, I curse my father and my brothers. Is there a sin on me for this, and what is the ruling? May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : The ruling in this matter is that it is not permissible for a person to insult any of the Muslims or curse them, let alone their relatives, let alone their father and brothers. So you must repent to Allah and seek forgiveness for this action, and you must control yourself when angry. For the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
A man said, “O Messenger of Allah, advise me.” The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Do not get angry.” The man repeated that several times and he replied, “Do not get angry.” جاءه رجل، فقال: أوصني؟ فقال: لا تغضب، فردد مراراً، قال: لا تغضب
Bulugh al-Maram 16:56
And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The strong one إنما الشديد
meaning the strong one
one who controls himself when he is in a fit of rage الذي يملك نفسه عند الغضب
Sahih Muslim 2609a
So if you become angry, seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan. If the anger persists with you, perform wudu. If you are standing, sit down. If you are sitting, lie down until the anger leaves you. A person is human, and Shaytan may cast a coal into his heart, causing him to fly into a rage until he does not know what he is saying. We ask Allah for safety for us and for you.
