Taking riba interest to cover the expenses of marriage

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of Fatwa number ( 11447 )
Q1: I am an employee in the Ministry of Education, a high school teacher, and the salary is not sufficient to bear the current burdens of marriage with us; therefore, we need some money for the wedding expenses. My brother was working as a teacher abroad, and he accumulated funds and deposited them in banks that
deal with riba, and over a known period, he generated profit from these funds. He is doubtful about this profit and wants to give it to me to spend on the wedding expenses. So, Your Eminence, is this considered halal for me, and will we not bear a sin on the Day of Judgment? Or is it better for me to set aside a small amount from my government salary to give to the poor every month until the amount of money I took from my brother is exhausted; for the sake of marriage, meaning if he gives me 2000 pounds, I will pay 10 pounds to the poor monthly until the time comes and the total amount I have spent on the poor is 2000 pounds; so that I do not commit a sin on the Day of Judgment; for Allah is Good and accepts nothing but what is good? Please advise us, may Allah reward you.

A1: It is not permissible for you to take it unless you are poor, and if you take it while you are wealthy, you are obligated to spend it in the causes of righteousness.
