Does the divorced woman take from her daughter's expenses?

Fatwa number ( 21489 )
Q: I am a divorced woman with a daughter who is four years old, and her father sends me her maintenance every month. My question is: Is it permissible for me to dispose of my daughter's maintenance in times of necessity for my own specific purposes or for my family? And is it permissible for me to give charity from it? And if yes, to whom does the reward and recompense return? Knowing that I live in my father's house with my brothers and sisters, and among them are young children, which makes me think that when I buy something for my daughter from her maintenance, I should buy for my young brothers and sisters along with her. Is there any sin on me for this or not?
A: The principle regarding the money the father pays as expenses for his daughter is that it is a right of his daughter, to be spent on her maintenance and clothing. If necessity calls for you to take from it to the extent of the necessity, that is permissible. As for charity, do not give charity from it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
