Q1: Is it permissible for us to appoint an amir for the Hajj journey, or not?
A1: It is prescribed for a group of three or more traveling together to appoint one of them as their leader. In Sunan Abu Dawud , it is narrated from Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Sunan Abi Dawud 2608Hasan Sahih (Al-Albani) , and by doing so, their affairs are unified, their opinions do not diverge, and no disagreement arises among them. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
