A father setting monthly salaries for his sons who work with him in his business

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 7858 )
Q: I am a man with seven sons and five daughters, and I work in trade. Two of the seven are grown men who have been working with me for ten years. After I spent on them and married them off, they had children. They came to me asking to have a specific share of the future profits, or a fixed salary. I took one of them, who was a teacher earning a monthly salary of about seven thousand riyals from the government, and asked him to resign so he could work with me in trade. I handed over all my money to them to dispose of as they wished, and I did not begrudge them anything they wanted. However, I have not decided on anything specific for them that would distinguish them from my other children. My youngest child is one year old, I have two wives, and I may have more children in the future. I fear Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) that I might be unjust to those who work with me in trade, since they have children just as I have children, or that I might be unjust to my young children if I do something specific for them. Please advise us, may Allah reward you with good.
A: There is no harm in setting monthly salaries for them in the future that are commensurate with their work and comparable to what is given to their peers by others.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
