Q: My wife gave birth about seven days before the blessed month of Ramadan, and she became pure before the month of Ramadan began. Is her fasting valid, or does she have to make it up? She says she fasted while in a state of purity. Please inform us. May Allah reward you with good.
A: If the matter is as stated, and your wife fasted the month of
Ramadan during her time of purity, then her fasting is valid and she does not have to make it up. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
