Fasting on the thirtieth day of Sha'ban

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 4442 )
Q4: If a man fasts on the thirtieth day of Sha'ban without seeing the crescent moon, or breaks his fast, is his fast valid or not, with evidence?
A4: It is not permissible for a Muslim to fast on the thirtieth day of Sha'ban if the sighting of the crescent moon on the night of the thirtieth of Sha'ban is not established, unless his fasting on that day coincides with a fast he habitually observes, such as one whose custom is to fast on Mondays or Thursdays, and that day happens to be the thirtieth; in that case, he may fast it along with the days he fasted in Sha'ban before it; based on the saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him):
None of you should fast a day or two before the (beginning of the) mouth of Ramadan, unless it is a day on which one is in the habit of fasting (i.e. voluntary fasting that coincides with that day).لا تقدموا رمضان بصوم يوم ولا يومين إلا أن يكون رجل كان يصوم صيامًا فليصمه
