Cutting Trees from the Cemetery
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa No. ( 11228 )
Q: We have a cemetery in al-Qabil district , and it contains a number of
trees, estimated at six or seven, of the tamarisk variety. These trees have caused a massive scattering of thorns throughout the cemetery. We wish to remove these trees, but the thorns will remain scattered in the cemetery, and they cannot be removed except by burning them. Therefore, I ask for your guidance on what is required regarding the removal of these trees and the burning of their thorns. May Allah preserve you.
A: There is nothing wrong with cutting the aforementioned trees to remove the harm. The cutting should be done through the municipality and with hand tools, while removing the thorns in a manner that does not harm the deceased. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
