Ruling on cutting down harmful trees from graveyards

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q: Is it permissible to cut down harmful trees from graveyards?

A: They should be cut down because they harm the visitors, especially those with thorns. However, if some of the common people believe in seeking blessing from them because they grow on the grave of a wali (close friend of Allah), as they claim, then they must be cut down absolutely; because of what is involved in removing the means of shirk (associating partners with Allah) and exaggeration regarding the dead.
