The Prayer upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the Tashahhud

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of Fatwa number ( 6744 )
Q4: We ask about the prayer upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the first tashahhud. If I say: "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger," do I stand up, or do I say: "O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and upon the family of Muhammad"?
A4: It is obligatory to send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) after the tashahhud in the final rak'ah of every prayer. As for the second rak'ah of a three- or four-rak'ah prayer, it is recommended to send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) after the two testimonies, due to the generality of the hadiths commanding the sending of blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
