The third question of Fatwa No. ( 829 )
Q3: Are there any reports (athar) from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding the reward of a woman who dies while pregnant?
Volume 3: Yes, Imam Malik narrated in al-Muwatta, Ahmad in al-Musnad, Abu Dawud , Ibn Majah , al-Nasa'i in their Sunans, Ibn Hibban in his Sahih, and al-Hakim in al-Mustadrak, from Jabir ibn 'Atik , who said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:Mishkat al-Masabih 1561. Al-Nawawi said: This is an authentic hadith. The meaning of his statement, "and the woman who dies from jama'" (with a dammah on the jīm and a kasrah on the 'ayn), is the one who dies in childbirth, meaning she died with something gathered within her that was not separated from her.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his companions.

There are seven types of martyrdom apart from being killed in God’s path. Those who die of plague, those who are drowned, those who die of pleurisy, those who die of an internal complaint, those who are burnt to death, those who are killed by a building falling on them, and women who die while pregnant are martyrs.
