Adding a conjunction to the adhan

The second question of Fatwa No. ( 3050 )
Q2: One of the mu'adhdhins adds to the end of the adhan, after (Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar), the phrase (wa la ilaha illa Allah), adding the letter waw. He is advanced in age, and his son—who is the imam of that mosque where he calls to prayer—told me that he has advised him for a long time to stop this action, but he refuses and persists, even refusing to eat with him. We have all advised him, and he is determined to continue doing it. His son asked us to request his removal from this position, and we answered: We fear that this will cause enmity and hatred between you and your father. He said: It is none of your concern. So please advise us, may Allah reward you. Is it permissible for us to request his removal from this position, and how should we advise him and inform him of the truth?
A2: If the situation is as described, it should be made clear to him that it is obligatory to leave it out; because it was not mentioned in the description of the legislated adhan, but it does not invalidate the adhan;
because it does not change the meaning. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
