The benefit of the stray animals that the disbelievers let roam
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Fatwa number ( 8264 ):
Q: If the disbelievers cut off the ears of some animals and let them roam for other than Allah, wherever they please, and they do not interfere with them in any way after that, is it permissible for a Muslim to slaughter them and eat their meat?
A: If the situation is as you described, and no harm results from your taking these stray animals, then there is no blame on you in taking them, slaughtering those of them whose meat is eaten in the name of Allah with a lawful slaughter, and eating from them. It may even be obligatory for one who is able to do so, because of the forbidding of evil and working to eliminate shirk (associating partners with Allah). And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
