Ruling on Reciting the Qur'an and Making Du'a Before the Adhan

Machine translationRead the Arabic original

The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 9908 ):

Q4: In our Fajr prayer, before the prayer, the Noble Qur'an is recited, then some supplications are mentioned, and then the adhan is called for the prayer. Is this from the Sunnah or not, and what is the ruling on that?
A4: Continuing with what was mentioned, namely reciting the Noble Qur'an and then some supplications before the adhan for the Fajr prayer, is not from the Sunnah; rather, it is a religious innovation (bid'ah). And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
