What is called the Prayer of al-Fatih
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth question of Fatwa No. ( 7519 ):
Q5: There is a Tijani group that has a supplication called the Prayer of al-Fatih, which they consider better than reciting the Qur'an. Is this correct? Also, before the Maghrib prayer and after the Fajr prayer on Friday, they sit in a circle and place a piece of cloth in the center, claiming that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and Ahmad al-Tijani sit in it. During this time, they perform a supplication called the Prayer of al-Fatih. Is this correct, and what is the evidence for it?
A5: What they claim regarding this is a lie, and their practice is invalid and an invented religious innovation.
And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
