The story of an incident that occurred with some Salafis who reject superstitions and some of the so-called awliya (close friends of Allah).

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Summary: The story, according to what remains with me, is that the Shaykh mentioned earlier recounted it to one of our Salafi brothers who does not believe in the superstitions among the karamat (miracles granted to a righteous person), not that he does not believe in karamat, but in the superstitions among them. He said to him: "What are you saying? There are no karamat of this type? Listen to this story; it actually happened." The Shaykh, the mufti, stated that a preacher was delivering the khutbah (sermon) on the minbar (pulpit) one Friday when the Shaykh, being one of the great awliya (close friends of Allah) and the righteous, revealed that one of his followers present in the mosque was "miznuq," which in Arabic means constipated; meaning he needed to relieve himself. So the Shaykh, while he was praying, did this for him: he showed him his sleeve, in the manner of what "Muhammad 'Abduh" said: "Turbans like towers and sleeves like sleeves." He showed him his wide sleeve. So the follower, the "mizruq" (the one who needed to relieve himself), went into the sleeve of the Shaykh the preacher and found a beautiful garden there, and he relieved himself!! [Everyone laughs!].
