The Miracles of the Awliya

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fourth question of Fatwa No. ( 16426 )
Q4: What is the difference between a prophetic miracle and a miracle granted to a righteous person , and who are the awliya (close friends of Allah)? Please answer us, may Allah reward you.
A4 : A prophetic miracle is an extraordinary event that Allah performs through the hand of a Prophet to confirm his truthfulness, which humans are incapable of doing, such as the she-camel for Salih (peace be upon him), the hand and staff for Musa, and the miracle of the Qur'an for Muhammad (peace be upon him). A miracle granted to a righteous person is an extraordinary event that Allah performs through the hand of a righteous servant as an honor for him, as in the story of Maryam and the people of the cave. This miracle granted to a righteous person is a prophetic miracle for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) whom this righteous servant follows, because he did not attain it except through his sincere following of him. It is not established as a miracle granted to a righteous person unless the one through whom it occurred is known for his uprightness in accordance with the Shari'ah of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
