Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (Indeed, those who lower their voices near the Messenger of Allah)

Allah the Exalted praised those who lower their voices near the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), saying:
Indeed, those who lower their voices before the Messenger of Allah - they are the ones whose hearts Allah has tested for righteousness. For them is forgiveness and great reward.
[Al-Hujurat: 3] After He prohibited raising the voice above His voice, and speaking to Him loudly as we speak loudly to one another, He praised those who lower their voices near the Messenger of Allah,Meaning: lowering them, and speaking with good manners, so there is no disturbance, no noise, and no raising of the voice, but they speak with good manners and humility,Allah said:
they are the ones whose hearts Allah has tested for righteousnessأُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ امْتَحَنَ اللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُمْ لِلتَّقْوَى
[Al-Hujurat 49:3]
He mentioned the demonstrative pronoun, saying:
Indeed, those who lower their voices before the Messenger of Allah - they are the onesإِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَغُضُّونَ أَصْوَاتَهُمْ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ
[Al-Hujurat 49:3]
in order to honor their status and elevate their rank, because "ula'ika" (those) is one of the demonstrative pronouns indicating distance, and that is due to the highness of their rank,And the speech would have been complete if He had said: Indeed, those who lower their voices near the Messenger of Allah are those whose hearts Allah has tested for taqwa (mindfulness of Allah), but He used the demonstrative pronoun to indicate the elevation and highness of their rank.
whose hearts Allah has tested for righteousnessامْتَحَنَ اللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُمْ لِلتَّقْوَى
[Al-Hujurat 49:3]
The scholars said: Its meaning is that He purified them for taqwa (mindfulness of Allah), so their hearts were filled with the taqwa (mindfulness of Allah) of Allah Mighty and Majestic, and for this reason they adopted the manners of Allah which He directed to them, so they lowered their voices near the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him).

Their reward:
for them there is forgiveness and great reward.لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ
[Al-Ma'idah 5:9]
Regarding His saying:
they are the ones whose hearts Allah has tested for righteousnessأُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ امْتَحَنَ اللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُمْ لِلتَّقْوَى
[Al-Hujurat 49:3]
, and as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said in the authentic hadith: (Taqwa (mindfulness of Allah) is here, and he pointed to his chest, which is the location of the heart, three times) And there is no doubt that taqwa (mindfulness of Allah) is the taqwa (mindfulness of Allah) of the heart, whereas the taqwa (mindfulness of Allah) of the limbs, which is rectifying the deed outwardly, this occurs even from the hypocrites,
And when you see them, their forms please you, and if they speak, you listen to their speechوَإِذَا رَأَيْتَهُمْ تُعْجِبُكَ أَجْسَامُهُمْ وَإِنْ يَقُولُوا تَسْمَعْ لِقَوْلِهِمْ
[Al-Munafiqun: 4] but the discussion is about the taqwa (mindfulness of Allah) of the heart, which is that by which righteousness is achieved, we ask Allah the Exalted to grant us and you that.
they are the ones whose hearts Allah has tested for righteousnessأُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ امْتَحَنَ اللَّهُ قُلُوبَهُمْ لِلتَّقْوَى
[Al-Hujurat 49:3]
Some people commit sins, and when you rebuke them, they say: Taqwa (mindfulness of Allah) is here, as if they are purifying themselves, while they are standing in disobedience to Allah,So we say to him with ease: If what is here were mindful, the limbs would be mindful;Because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) says: (And know that in the body there is a morsel, if it is sound, the whole body is sound, and if it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt) You find a person persisting in a sin, such as letting the garment hang below the ankles, shaving the beard, and smoking, so you forbid him and warn him of the punishment of Allah,And he says: Taqwa (mindfulness of Allah) is here,The answer, we say: If what is here—meaning the hearts—had taqwa (mindfulness of Allah), then what is here—meaning the limbs—would have taqwa (mindfulness of Allah),The evidence: The saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): (And know that in the body there is a morsel, if it is sound, the whole body is sound, and if it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt, and it is the heart) .
