The Obligation of Ablution for Every Person in a State of Ritual Impurity Who Intends to Pray

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
And Allah the Mighty and Majestic made it obligatory to perform ablution when intending to pray for every person who has broken their ritual purity,So Allah the Exalted said:
O you who have believed, when you rise to [perform] prayer, wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the anklesيَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا قُمْتُمْ إِلَى الصَّلاةِ فَاغْسِلُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ إِلَى الْمَرَافِقِ وَامْسَحُوا بِرُؤُوسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ
[Al-Ma'idah: 6] .
Therefore, we should, while performing ablution, be conscious that we are obeying the command of Allah, as if Allah the Exalted is addressing us right now,So he says:
wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the anklesفَاغْسِلُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ إِلَى الْمَرَافِقِ وَامْسَحُوا بِرُءُوسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ
[Al-Ma'idah: 6] so that we are thereby sincere to Allah the Mighty and Majestic, and we should be conscious that we are following the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) so that we achieve following him,I mean: as if the Messenger is in front of us right now performing ablution, so we follow him in that, so that through this act of worship we achieve sincerity and following him, and so it is with the rest of the acts of worship.
It is obligatory to perform ablution,And what is obligatory of it is what Allah mentioned in the Qur'an:
wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the anklesفَاغْسِلُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ إِلَى الْمَرَافِقِ وَامْسَحُوا بِرُؤُوسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ
[Al-Ma'idah: 6] and the Sunnah came to clarify some of the ambiguity in this verse, namely: rinsing the mouth and sniffing water into the nose, for both are obligatory in the Sunnah,And they are included in His saying:
Wash your faces.فَاغْسِلُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ
[Al-Ma'idah: 6] because the nose and mouth are part of the face, and likewise the two ears; the Sunnah came to clarify wiping them along with the head, because they are part of the head. Thus, it is necessary to rinse the mouth and sniff water into the nose, and it is necessary to wipe the two ears.
These are the obligatory acts in ablution; but the most complete ablution,It is what in which the following are present: -The intention: and these must be accompanied by every action.
- The basmalah.
- Washing the two hands three times before washing the face.
- Starting with rinsing the mouth and sniffing water into the nose before washing the face.
- Thoroughly combing a thick beard that does not allow the skin to be seen, and washing the beard down to the roots of the hair if it allows the skin to be seen; because it does not cover the skin, so it is washed from the side of the skin that this beard does not cover.
- Repeating the washing three times for the limbs, except for the head, sometimes, and in the most common case, sometimes a person limits it to once, sometimes to twice, and sometimes he distributes it, washing the face three times, the hands twice, and the feet once, as the Sunnah came with that.
