Meaning of the Hadith: (The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took a pledge from some of the Companions not to ask people for anything)

May Allah reward you, O Shaykh: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took a pledge from some of the Companions not to ask people for anything. What is the meaning of this hadith? Is it general or specific? And if it is specific, what is excluded from it?
He took their pledge not to ask people for anything except in cases of dire necessity,The Companion said: [to the extent that if one of our whips fell to the ground while we were on our mounts, we would not say to anyone: "Hand it to me," but rather we would dismount and pick it up] This covers the general principle of generality,And for this, some scholars said: If a person says to his brother: "O so-and-so, invoke Allah for us," or "Do not forget us in your supplication," this is of the blameworthy asking; because he asked him,And there is no doubt that a person's saying: "Do not forget us in your supplication" is not of the guidance of the righteous Salaf, as far as we know, and it is not befitting for a person to say this;Because first: You deprive yourself of supplication,And Allah says:
Call upon Me; I will respond to you.ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ
[Ghafir: 60] ,He did not say: Ask others to supplicate for you ("Call upon Me") .

Second: That you deprive yourself of an act of worship: ("Supplication is worship") .

Third: That you attach yourself to this man from whom you requested supplication.

Fourth: Perhaps this man will be deluded and become arrogant, saying: "Who am I that people ask me for supplication?"
Yes, if you ask a righteous man, hoping that Allah will answer his supplication regarding the Muslims in general, there is nothing wrong with it,Such as coming to a righteous man and saying: People are now in drought and the rain has been delayed. Yes, if the rain is delayed for a year among the years, invoke Allah for them. This is permissible,And therefore it is not befitting for a person to say to anyone: "Invoke Allah for me," to the extent that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) made those who seek healing while sick say: "O so-and-so! Recite for us." He made them lacking in one of the descriptions that, if realized, a person enters Paradise without reckoning or punishment.
But if the one you are asking is someone you have benefited,If you say: "O so-and-so, give me this watch or this pen," and it does not harm him, but you know that he will be pleased;Because some people are pleased to say to so-and-so: "O so-and-so, I want such and such," this is permissible.
