If a man says: “O Allah, I ask You by the dutifulness of my parents to grant me success in being dutiful to my children,” is this correct?

The Shaykh : If someone were to say: “O Allah, I ask You by the dutifulness of my parents to grant me success in being dutiful to my children,” that is correct and valid. This falls under the category of seeking nearness to Allah through a means. By what? By righteous deeds. Take the categories now; how many have we made? Seven. You will answer them tomorrow, if Allah wills, (Glorified and Exalted is He).
