Dutifulness to parents

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
From 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn 'Abd Allah ibn Baz to the honorable brother: M. N. 'A. S. May Allah grant him success in all good, amen.
Peace be upon you, and Allah’s mercy and blessings, and after that:
Your question reached me through the Al-Jazirah newspaper, and its text is: Your father divorced your mother while you were still an infant, and your mother took care of you and your siblings, leaving behind everything that would bring her happiness in order to care for you with noble care. She toiled and endured many difficulties, and she was patient with the hardships of life and the demands of daily living in order to provide for the necessities of life and the school fees... and so on.
The answer to the aforementioned question is: The reference for this matter between you and your father is the Shari'ah court, unless you forgive your father and grant his requests and seek his pleasure, in which case that is better for you if you are able to do so; for Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, has enjoined kindness to parents extensively in His Noble Book.
May Allah guide everyone to what pleases Him. And peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy and blessings.
