Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : What appears to me to be the distinction is that if a pregnant woman breaks her fast out of fear for her child, she must make up the fast, and the one who provides for the child must feed a poor person for each day. The well-known position in the school of Imam Ahmad is that if a pregnant woman breaks her fast solely out of fear for her child, she must make up the fast because she did not fast, and the one who provides for the child must feed a poor person on her behalf for each day, because this woman broke her fast for whose benefit? For the benefit of the child.
An example of this is: a woman who has a husband and is pregnant breaks her fast out of fear for her child. What is obligatory for her?
The student: Feeding.

The Shaykh : She must make up the fast, and it is obligatory for the father of the child, it is obligatory for him to feed a poor person for each day.
Some scholars said: The obligatory duty for the pregnant woman is only to make up the fast, whether she broke her fast out of fear for herself, for the child, or for both herself and the child, by analogy to the sick person, and nothing more is obligatory for her.
Yes.
