When is the departure from 'Arafah if one is accompanied by elderly women, and likewise from Muzdalifah, and likewise from the stoning?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Regarding the departure, O Shaykh, it is necessary on the Day of Tarwiyah, the ninth day, I mean the Day of Standing, I mean

The Shaykh : The Day of 'Arafah.

The questioner : The Day of 'Arafah.

The Shaykh: What is in it?

The questioner : When do I depart from 'Arafah and perform the stoning, given that my family is with me, and my mother is ill, suffering from diabetes and such?

The Shaykh : You depart after you see the sun has set to your left.

The questioner : At sunset?

The Shaykh : Yes, you set out from there to Muzdalifah.

The questioner : Muzdalifah.

The Shaykh : And you must remain there, if you are alone without your family, until you pray Fajr in Muzdalifah, then you set out to Mina and stone the large pillar after the sun has risen.

The questioner : After the sun rises.

The Shaykh : This is if you are a man alone. But if you are with women, it is permissible for them to depart from Muzdalifah after the middle of the night. And in that case, if you are with women, you go by virtue of the women, meaning it is permissible for you to leave with them after the middle of the night. Is the matter clear up to here?

The questioner : Yes, exactly.

The Shaykh : Okay, meaning if you are a man alone, you do not leave until after the Fajr prayer in Muzdalifah, correct?

The questioner : Okay.
The Shaykh: But if you are with women, meaning, you go by virtue of the women, because the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted women, young boys, and the weak to leave Muzdalifah after the middle of the night, correct up to here?

The questioner : Yes, exactly.

The Shaykh : As for the stoning, it is not permissible for anyone except after the sun has risen. And if you hear someone say that the women who leave after the middle of the night are permitted to stone before sunset, this is an error. Because when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted the weak among women and young boys to depart after the middle of the night, he told them: Do not stone the Pillar of 'Aqabah until after the sun has risen. Therefore, one must distinguish between the early departure from Muzdalifah for the weak and the stoning. Departure is permissible after the middle of the night, but stoning is not permissible except after the sun has risen.

The questioner : Okay, regarding the stoning, if I have stoned the large Pillar of 'Aqabah, where do I head now, toward the Haram or not?

The Shaykh : You head to Makkah to perform the Tawaf of Ifadah.

The questioner : The Tawaf of Ifadah, and the Sa'y and the Tawaf, and then I return to Mina.

The Shaykh : To Mina to spend the days of stoning.

The questioner : The eleventh and twelfth.

The Shaykh : Yes, it is permissible to hasten.

The questioner : The twelfth only, but it is better to delay.

The Shaykh : To delay, yes.

Another questioner : O Shaykh, if one is in the state of Tamattu', does he only perform Sa'y, or does he not perform Tawaf?

The Shaykh : We are speaking about the one in the state of Tamattu'. As for the one performing Hajj alone (Ifrad) and the one combining (Qiran), they do not perform Sa'y after the Tawaf, correct? Is that clear?

The questioner : He performed 'Umrah, then performed Tamattu' and Hajj, and when he descended from 'Arafah, he performs Tawaf and Sa'y.
