The questioner : What is the ruling on one who hastens to depart from Muzdalifah after midnight if he has women with him?

The Shaykh : How?

The questioner : What is the ruling on one who hastens to depart from Muzdalifah after midnight if he has women with him?

The Shaykh : If the men with the women are their mahram (relatives one may not marry), he goes with them to facilitate their departure, meaning it is not permissible for the men to depart from Muzdalifah until after they have prayed the Fajr prayer. However, if he is with women [who are his mahram], he may depart with them after midnight.

The questioner : If the mahram is with the mahram women, but they are in one bus, in one car, with four women, with brothers, and with two of us who are not mahram, but are sharing the ride?

The Shaykh : It is not permissible for these people; it is obligatory for them to walk on their feet, and to remain in Muzdalifah and descend on their feet if a car to take them to the Jamarat (stoning pillars) is not available for them.

The questioner : What if they do not have a mahram with them, O Shaykh?

Another questioner : That is fine, that is fine, may Allah guide you.
