Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : A man has grown-up sons who are employed, and he is old in age and lives in the countryside. Is it permissible for one of the sons to take his mother away from his father and leave him alone?

The Shaykh : No, by Allah, it is not permissible. It is not permissible for him to separate a man from his wife. If he does so, he is undutiful to his mother and his father. It is obligatory to leave things as they are, as long as the mother is satisfied with her situation of being with her husband in the countryside. Let him leave her there and visit them from time to time, and look at what is lacking in their care of him and complete it. This is because it is obligatory for a man or a woman to be dutiful to his or her parents, whether they are with him or in another country or in the countryside. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah preserve you. The questioner, M.S.B. from al-Ahsa, says.
