The Obligation of Congregational Prayer and the Adhan

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Among the evidence for this is that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
There are not three people in the desert who do not have the adhan called for them and the prayer established among them, except that Satan has taken possession of them. ما من ثلاثة في بدو لا يؤذن فيهم و لا تقام فيهم الصلاة إلا استحوذ عليهم الشيطان
Satan has taken possession of them, meaning he has surrounded them
So observe Salat in congregation, for the wolf eats up a solitary sheep that stays far from the flock. فعليكم بالجماعة إنما يأكل الذئب من الغنم القاصية
Riyad as-Salihin 1070
Therefore, it is obligatory for every accountable Muslim to maintain the performance of the five daily prayers in the mosque, and not to pray in his house, his shop, or his workplace. Rather, he must leave everything that occupies him from responding to the call of Allah, which is the mu'adhdhin when he says, "Come to prayer, come to success." When the Muslim hears this organized command from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) five times every day, it is so that no Muslim has an excuse for missing the congregational prayer. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever hears the call and does not respond, and has no excuse, has no prayer. من سمع النداء و لم يجب و لا عذر له فلا صلاة له
