Is it prescribed to say takbir in sujud al-tilawah?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Perhaps we should suffice with this and move on.

The questioner : A light question, I mean.

The Shaykh : Please.

The questioner : The imam prostrated in sujud al-tilawah, so the ma'mum says takbir but does not prostrate without takbir, excuse me, in the prostration during prayer?

The Shaykh : Of course, we have mentioned this issue more than once, and the summary is that it is not reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said takbir, so we do not say takbir. However, it is reported from Ibn Mas'ud that he used to say takbir. Therefore, we do not be strict in this matter, but the Sunnah is more deserving of being followed. If the imam says takbir, we do not follow him in it. Why? Because it is not one of the apparent matters where disagreeing with the imam is considered. As we say in many issues, such as placing the hands, tawarruk, iftirash, or similar things. Here, the imam is followed, but the takbir that is prescribed is recited by the worshipper secretly, so agreement or disagreement is not apparent here as it is there. Therefore, we say we remain on the Sunnah and do not follow him. This is sufficient, and praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
Abu Layla : This is 'Abd al-Ra'uf.

The Shaykh : What Allah willed, I seek refuge for you in the perfect words of Allah from every Shaytan, wasp, and envious eye. Yes.

The questioner : ... Adnan, the trousers... He says many of the shaykhs today say that trousers are a widespread affliction and have become common clothing between the disbelievers and the Muslims.

The questioner : But I do not think that these shaykhs about whom you are speaking, he follows them.

The questioner : He follows the action, not the saying...

The Shaykh : In the error, not in the correctness. O Allah, guide us among those You have guided.

The questioner: Amen.

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner : A question I asked you once: one of my son's wives spoke to me on the phone and said that her son wants to pray and he is seven years old, leading them.

The Shaykh : How so?

The questioner : He prays leading them.

The Shaykh: Who?

The questioner : A boy from my son's sons, he is seven and a half years old, wants to lead them in prayer. So I told her, let him pray and we will be behind him. I told her, and you will be behind him, what is the problem? If he is seven years old, have you not heard of the Companion who prayed with the Companions and was seven years old, and they were behind him, tall and broad?

The Shaykh : In any case, you got the answer before the question.

The questioner : But dress your mother properly.

The Shaykh : This is the truth, O Allah. Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You...
