The Shaykh : The women who come from outside to perform 'Umrah without a mahram are sinful and will not receive reward, because they have disobeyed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). In the two Sahihs, from the hadith of 'Abdullah ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), he said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delivering a sermon, saying: and This was during the time of Hajj. A man stood up and said: O Messenger of Allah, my wife has gone out for a need, and I have signed up for the expedition of such-and-such. He said: This is evidence for the obligation of a mahram for a woman's travel. So these women should repent to Allah for their action and not return to such a deed. And if their repentance is sincere, I hope that Allah will accept their 'Umrah, even if the woman is an old woman, because it is said: .
