A word by the Shaykh regarding the interpretation of the saying of Allah the Exalted: "A Book We have revealed to you, full of blessing, so that they may reflect upon its verses and that people of understanding may be reminded."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and I send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment.
As for what follows: The best of speech is the Book of Allah, and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). The worst of matters are those that are newly invented, and every newly invented matter in the religion of Allah is a religious innovation, every religious innovation is misguidance, and every misguidance is in the Fire. We have listened to the saying of Allah the Exalted:
[This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded. كتاب أنزلناه إليك مبارك ليدبروا آياته وليتذكر أولوا الألباب
[Sad 38:29]
This noble verse explains this great Qur'an that Allah revealed to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). It is the best book revealed to the best prophet and the last book revealed to the people of the earth. This is because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is the seal of the prophets, as Allah the Exalted said:
Muhammad is not the father of [any] one of your men, but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and last of the prophets ما كان محمدٌ أبا أحد من رجالكم ولكن رسول الله وخاتم النيين
[Al-Ahzab 33:40]
