What is the ruling on one who frequents fortune-tellers and sorcerers?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is the ruling of the Shari'ah, in your view, O honorable Shaykh, regarding those who frequent fortune-tellers and sorcerers?

The Shaykh : Our view is that this is not permissible, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Whoever visits a diviner and asks him, his prayer will not be accepted for forty days, or he said: forty nights. من أتى عرافاً فسأله لم تقبل له صلاة أربعين يوماً أو قال: أربعين ليلة
This manner of expression is one of the methods of prohibition, because the prevention of the acceptance of his prayer for forty nights indicates that he has committed a sin. Likewise, one who visits a fortune-teller, for visiting fortune-tellers is of the same kind as visiting diviners. Some scholars say that "diviner" is a name for anyone who claims to know matters through the unseen. If one visits a fortune-teller and believes him, he has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). This is because if he asks him about a matter of the unseen and believes him, he has contradicted the saying of Allah the Exalted:
Say, "None in the heavens and earth knows the unseen except Allah قُلْ لا يَعْلَمُ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ الْغَيْبَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ
[An-Naml 27:65]
No one knows the future ever. And whoever claims to know it has contradicted this verse. Yes.

The questioner : In his second question, he says.
