(Giving the example of the one who denies the divine attributes in rejecting the truth by Iblis, the people of shirk (associating partners with Allah), the Christians, and the Jahmiyyah) And give them an example of the elder of the people when *** he refused to prostrate out of the arrogance of one who transgresses

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
" And give them an example of the elder of the people when *** he refused to prostrate out of the arrogance of one who transgresses
then he was pleased to become a leader of the *** gates of sin and every one who disobeys
And so did the people of shirk (associating partners with Allah) say, how can this *** human bring the revelation and the Qur'an
then they were pleased to make their object of worship *** from these stones and idols
And so did the worshippers of the Cross protect their *** partners from women and young men
and they came to the Lord of the highest heavens *** and made Him a son from males "

Look at what you have, they protected their partners, or what?
The student : " And so did the worshippers of the Cross protect " with a fathah on the ba ...

The Shaykh : No, but with their partners, here you have "Batarik" in the commentary, yes, okay, he says:
" And give them an example of the elder of the people " the elder of the people is Iblis.
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : No, we read it, we read it, he said
" And give them an example of the elder of the people " and he is Iblis
" when *** he refused to prostrate out of the arrogance of one who transgresses "
Because he said:
I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay." أنا خير منه خلقتني من نار وخلقته من طين
[Al-A'raf 7:12]
This is arrogance.
But he " was pleased to become a leader of the *** gates of sin and every one who disobeys "
He was pleased for himself, he did not humble himself to Allah, but he became a leader of the people of sin and disobedience.
