The Shaykh : No, for the question to be valid, it must be that her clothes are in a state of ritual impurity, not just that you say you do not know.

The questioner : I do not know.

The Shaykh : Be patient. There is a difference between one question and another. Because when you said you do not know, I tell you that your prayer is valid until you know that her clothes are in a state of ritual impurity. If her clothes are in a state of ritual impurity and you know this, then it is obligatory for you to remove her from it. But if you do not know, neither this nor that, then your prayer is valid. Do you see the difference?
