The Shaykh : The fourth instance: What happened? In any case, we have brought these examples to illustrate the strength of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), the strength of his resolve, and that he was the most patient of the Companions in times of hardship and the most determined among them. As for the death of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), as you know, he (peace and blessings be upon him) died just as humans die. He needed what humans need, such as food, drink, clothing, and other things. All human characteristics, what are they? They remained with the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). He would get sick, get hungry, get thirsty, feel cold, and take precautions against the enemy. He would wear armor in battle, among other human characteristics. However, he (peace and blessings be upon him) was distinguished by what? He was distinguished by the message, because he was worthy of it. And Allah the Exalted said: [Al-An'am 6:124] May the prayers and peace of Allah be upon him, upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment. Now, to the questions. We will read from them what is feasible, and we ask Allah to grant us success in giving the correct answer.
