Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you, O Shaykh, regarding paying zakah early and advancing it for many years.

The Shaykh : What?

The questioner : What is the ruling on paying zakah early and advancing it for many years for those who are afflicted and those who are struck by calamities?

The Shaykh : Paying zakah early before its due date.

The questioner : For more than one year.

The Shaykh : For more than one year, the correct view is that it is permissible for a period of two years only, and it is not permissible for more than that. And with this, one should not pay it early; one should not pay zakah early before its time arrives.
Unless a need arises, such as a severe necessity, or for specific groups, or the like. In that case, we say: pay it early, because something may happen to the recipient that makes it better for them. Otherwise, the best is not to pay zakah unless it is due, because a person’s wealth may be subject to loss or other things. In any case, we should also note that if the wealth increases beyond what it was at the time of the early payment, then the zakah on this increase must be paid. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
