Advancing the payment of zakah before the completion of the lunar year

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The second question of Fatwa No. ( 17660 )
Q2: Is it permissible for a person to pay zakah before the completion of the lunar year ? In other words: A few days before the festival of sacrifice, my mother gave a sum of money to one of her relatives so that he could purchase the sacrificial animal, stating to me
that she would intend it as part of the zakah due on her when the time for it (the zakah) arrives, and that when Ashura arrives, she will deduct the amount she gave in charity from the total amount. What is the ruling of the Shari'ah in this matter?

A2 : It is permissible to advance the payment of zakah before the completion of the lunar year, and what your mother did is sufficient if she intended the aforementioned amount as zakah at the time she paid it. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
