Ruling on sending zakah to poor relatives and paying it before the lunar year is complete

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A letter was sent by a listener who requested that his name be indicated by the letters (B. J. 'A). He says: I have a sum of money, and this sum is the zakah of my wealth. I am far from my homeland, and I know people among my relatives who are in dire need of zakah. Should I send it to them as money, or as clothing? Or what do you advise me to do? May Allah reward you with good. And what is the ruling if I send it before the completion of the lunar year? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
It is better to distribute it in your location if there are poor people in need there. If you transfer it to your poor relatives in your country because of their severe need, there is no blame on you, provided you are certain of their need for zakah.
It is better to send it to them as money. If the need is pressing to send it as clothing or food through trustworthy people, because they are women or orphans whom you fear might manipulate the money, there is nothing wrong with that. However, it is better to send the money through a trustworthy person to hand it to them as money, if they are capable of managing it.
As for if they are orphans, it is handed over to the guardian of the orphans. If they are women who are guided, it is handed over to their hands. If they are not guided, it is handed over to the guardian who is responsible for them. If you see that the most beneficial option is to give them the zakah as clothing or food, fearing they might manipulate the money, there is nothing wrong with that, and there is no blame on you.
There is no objection to paying it before the lunar year is complete. There is no objection to paying the zakah to them before the completion of the lunar year. There is no blame in paying it early. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
