(Their denial of seeing Allah on the Day of Resurrection) And for that reason we said that our seeing Him *** is the very impossibility and is not within the realm of possibility, and you claim that we see Him as one sees the *** non-existent

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He said: "And for that reason we said that our seeing Him *** is the very impossibility and is not within the realm of possibility"
The philosophers said, and the people of denial of the divine attributes also, from the Asha'irah and others, that our seeing Allah is the very impossibility, meaning that it is impossible for us to see Allah (Mighty and Majestic). It has been established for us that seeing Allah is indicated by the Book, the Sunnah, and the consensus of the Salaf, and that it is a true seeing with the eye. Yes, yes, we have not explained it.
"And you claim that we see Him as one sees the *** non-existent, not the existent in reality"
This means that the seeing mentioned in the Book and the Sunnah is intended to be the seeing of the non-existent, and the seeing of the non-existent that is not seen with the eye, meaning knowledge of it. Therefore, they interpret seeing as the completion of certainty, saying that they see Allah, meaning they are certain of Him truly, just as the one who sees is certain of the one he sees truly. Why do they not see Him as one sees the existent?
