The Shaykh :And His saying, Exalted is He:
Allah has certainly heard the statement of those [Jews] who said, "Indeed, Allah is poor, while we are rich." لَقَدْ سَمِعَ اللَّهُ قَوْلَ الَّذِينَ قَالُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ فَقِيرٌ وَنَحْنُ أَغْنِيَاءُ
[Ali 'Imran 3:181]
Who are they? The Jews. They said, "Allah is poor and does not give, while we are rich." But we say, "You are rich but stingy, and Allah is Rich and Praiseworthy, giving, Mighty and Majestic. His Hand is full, giving abundantly day and night." He said:
We will record what they said سَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَالُوا
[Ali 'Imran 3:181]
This is a warning.
their killing of the prophets without right وَقَتْلَهُمُ الْأَنْبِيَاءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ
[Ali 'Imran 3:181]
We will record that as well. And His saying:
without right بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ
is an explanation of the reality, meaning that their killing of the prophets without right—what was the sin of the prophets? The prophets were callers to good, callers to reform, messengers from Allah, so they killed them without right.
and will say, "Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire. وَنَقُولُ ذُوقُوا عَذَابَ الْحَرِيقِ
[Ali 'Imran 3:181]
When is this said? On the Day of Resurrection, meaning, "Taste the punishment of the Fire, which is entirely burning," and may Allah protect us. O Allah, protect us from the Fire.
