Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: "And indeed, it is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : As for what we intend to discuss from the recitation of our imams, it is clear verses that Allah the Exalted mentioned in Surat al-Shu'ara, at its end, in His saying:
And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds.
[Ash-Shu'ara 26:192]
. Allah is the Greatest.
Indeed, he إنه
To what does the pronoun refer? To the Qur'an.
And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds.
[Ash-Shu'ara 26:192]
So the One who revealed this Qur'an is the Lord of the worlds, who created them, to whom belongs their dominion, and to whom belongs their management. Therefore, they must take hold of this Qur'an. For this reason, the Qur'an is not for us Muslims alone, but the Qur'an is for all people. Whoever the Qur'an reaches, it is obligatory for him to follow it. For this reason, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) swore an oath, and he is the truthful one who is verified without an oath, and he said:
By Myself in Whose Hand is my soul—or he said, "By the soul of Muhammad in Whose Hand it is"—no one from this Ummah, neither a Jew nor a Christian, hears of me and then dies without believing in what I have brought, except that he will be among the companions of the Fire
.
And the companions of the Fire are its people, those who will remain in it forever. Accordingly, every Jew or Christian who hears of the message of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and then dies without believing in him is among the companions of the Fire. And every Jew or Christian who dies upon this, it is not permissible for us to pray for his forgiveness or for mercy for him, or to show sadness or regret for him.
And if Allah Mighty and Majestic said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family):
It is not for the Prophet and those who have believed
[At-Tawbah 9:113]
Are you finished? Do you have the Qur'an memorized? No, he should complete it. He doesn't know, sit down, it is fine. Come on, who can complete it? Please.
The student:
It is not for the Prophet and those who have believed to ask forgiveness for the polytheists, even if they were relatives, after it has become clear to them that they are companions of Hellfire.
[At-Tawbah 9:113]

The Shaykh : The blazing Fire, the blazing Fire. O man, do not answer incorrectly. May Allah guide you. The companions of the blazing Fire.
The student:
And the request of forgiveness of Abraham for his father was only because of a promise he had made to him. But when it became apparent to Abraham that his father was an enemy to Allah, he disassociated himself from him. Indeed was Abraham compassionate and patient.
[At-Tawbah 9:114]
.

The Shaykh : May Allah bless you. Where are you? Be patient, be patient. Recite for me the verse in which Ibrahim sought forgiveness for his father?
The student:
He said, "Peace be upon you. I will seek forgiveness قال سلام عليكم سأستغفر
.

The Shaykh : He said, "I will seek forgiveness." Listen, listen, "I will seek forgiveness," not "I seek forgiveness." This is a promise. For this reason, if a man says to his wife, "I will divorce you," she will not be divorced. Recite for me the verse in which Ibrahim sought forgiveness for his father? Allah is the Greatest, how quickly. Who knows?
Wait, my brother. Did you not hear in the recitation tonight that Ibrahim said:
And forgive my father
like this. May Allah bless you. So this verse is:
And forgive my father
.
Indeed, Allah Mighty and Majestic loves the excuse, and no one is more excusable than Allah when He said:
It is not for the Prophet and those who have believed to ask forgiveness for the polytheists, even if they were relatives, after it has become clear to them that they are companions of Hellfire.
[At-Tawbah 9:113]
It will remain in the hearts. Why did Ibrahim seek forgiveness for his father, while he, Ibrahim, is the leader of the Hanifs? So Allah answered this difficulty by saying—answer, everyone—:
And the request of forgiveness of Abraham for his father was only because of a promise he had made to him
[At-Tawbah 9:114]
And then:
But when it became apparent to Abraham that his father was an enemy to Allah, he disassociated himself from him
[At-Tawbah 9:114]
Therefore, it is not permissible for us to say: "O Allah, forgive so-and-so," when he has died upon disbelief. It is forbidden, because this is transgression in supplication, since Allah does not forgive the polytheists. So how do you ask Allah for what He cannot do, or what His wisdom has decreed that He not do? We must be careful of this.
Allah Blessed and Exalted is He said in the verse:
And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds.
[Ash-Shu'ara 26:192]
, and if it is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds, it is obligatory upon all the worlds—go, everyone—to believe in it and to follow it.
