What is prescribed for the Muslim to do on the day of the festival?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : What is prescribed for the Muslim to do on the day of the festival?

The Shaykh : What is prescribed for him to do on the day of the festival is to go out to the festival prayer, adorning himself and cleaning up, and remembering Allah (Mighty and Majestic), as He the Exalted said:
and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful. ولتكملوا العدة ولتكبروا الله على ما هداكم ولعلكم تشكرون
[Al-Baqarah 2:185]
. Also included in this is that joy and happiness are prescribed, but in a prescribed manner, without excess or exaggeration. Some people have exaggerated in this matter, and you will find some women, may Allah protect us from that, going out adorned, displaying their adornment, and being alluring, and this is forbidden for them. It is established in Sahih Muslim (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
AbU Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) having said this: Two are the types of the denizens of Hell whom I did not see: people having flogs like the tails of the ox with them and they would be beating people, and the women who would be dressed but appear to be naked, who would be inclined (to evil) and make their husbands incline towards it. Their heads would be like the humps of the bukht camel inclined to one side. They will not enter Paradise and they would not smell its odour whereas its odour would be smelt from such and such distance.
Sahih Muslim 2128
.
But joy restricted by the Shari'ah is a required matter because it is a day of joy. Also included in this is that one goes to the mosque by one path and returns by another path, in order to display this great religious observance. Yes.
