If a person enters the mosque for the purpose of a lesson and does not intend to pray, is wudu' obligatory for him?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The student: I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Shaytan.
And believe in what I have sent down confirming that which is [already] with you
[Al-Baqarah 2:41]

The Shaykh : How do you read it? Read from the beginning. Repeat what you just read?
The student:
And believe in what I have sent down
[Al-Baqarah 2:41]

The Shaykh : No mistake.
they have faithآمنوا
It does not make sense. Which is the most important thing, the pronoun?
they have faithآمنوا
You did not bring the waw. "Believe in what was revealed."
The student:
(41) And believe in what I have sent down confirming that which is [already] with you, and be not the first to disbelieve in it. And do not exchange My signs for a small price, and fear [only] Me. (42) And do not mix the truth with falsehood or conceal the truth while you know [it]. (43) And establish prayer and give zakah and bow with those who bow [in worship and obedience].
[Al-Baqarah 2:41-43]
